The queen harpy is an iconic book and movie "monster" in Swedish culture. When me and my team at ILP got the oppurtunity to create this creature there was a lot of pressure mainly by ourselves to actually visualize something we know the swedish people have such a clear (and cool) image of already. We worked hard to find a good balance between human and bird and make her work fully as an animal but also a human. This incredible feat had so many talanted people involved and the list is very long but you who worked on it knows! A big shout out Gustav Ahren who worked with me pretty hard on these concepts with the concept model and crucial feedback. Also so many thanks to Niklas Anderssons creative input and to David Allan, Christopher Karlberg, Anton Stattin and Jannes Kreyenberg and many more for creating this beast!
A big thanks to Martin Hernblad our VFX supervisor who kept good faith in us, gave feedback where it was needed all the way and managed all the ups and downs!
